DRINKSUNION Eurasia took part in the International Forum on Technical Regulation and Standardization in EAEU

The Union took part in#nbsp;the International Forum "Actual questions of#nbsp;technical regulation and standardization in#nbsp;EAEU."

The event was held in#nbsp;the format of#nbsp;a#nbsp;joint meeting of#nbsp;the RUIE Committee on#nbsp;Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation and the Chamber of#nbsp;Commerce and Industry of#nbsp;the Russian Federation Committee on#nbsp;Technical Regulation, Standardization and Quality. The representatives of#nbsp;the Eurasian Economic Commission, authorities and leading business-association discussed the current condition of#nbsp;technical regulation and standardization in#nbsp;the EAEU countries, problems and key directions for improving.

Experts say that nowadays there is#nbsp;a#nbsp;necessity to#nbsp;increase the efficiency of#nbsp;international standardization in#nbsp;order to#nbsp;form the evidence base of#nbsp;technical requirements. Despite the existing system of#nbsp;technical regulation of#nbsp;the EAEU countries, the pace of#nbsp;updating regarding requirements doesn’t correspond with the demands of#nbsp;the time. The evaluation of#nbsp;scientific and technical level of#nbsp;adopted documents is#nbsp;sometimes conducted superficially.

Experts pointed out to#nbsp;the constructive interaction of#nbsp;business community, profile national authorities and the Head for the Eurasian Economic Commission. During the discussion specific steps and measures for harmonizing the spheres of#nbsp;technical regulation and standardization in#nbsp;EAEU have been presented, the work will continue.
